A motif!

This is a little motif I'm working on.
I'm thinking of this as a pendant as some people suggested that as an idea for my wee giveaways.  I hope it's an original as I'm going to write and draw it up.

Then on Sunday I sold a magnetic bookmark and thought I'd replace it.  The one I sold was a very pretty blue flower on a button.  As I was currently working on another of these starry sort of motifs I wondered what it would look like as a magnetic bookmark.  Well, I found out!!!  What do you think?  Does it 'pass the test'?

Well, actually it did pass as I put it in the shop and within two hours or so some little stinker (you know who you are - THANK YOU!) bought it!!!!!
So I've started another one!!!!  Here it is.  These colours just SING to me.

They all look gorgeous, wonderful colours, are they beads or buttons in the middle?

Jane....Another big hit! I like the center bead and the star like shape. Awesome. What is the thread on the top star? An HDT or Lizbeth? It is a lovely shade.

This would make a nice pendant, pin or bookmark.

Hi Carol. Not sure but it's called Nitty Gritty. It was a pressie but I think it MAY have come from yarnplayer.
Josie - it's a bead in the middle. I bought them while I was in the Isle of Wight 'just because'. They were just SO pretty they jumped up off the display and straight to the till!!!!!

I really like that rich brown gold thread star.

Very, very nice. I thought that was a shank button at first, but a bead makes more sense.

I spotted the thumbnail and was immediately smitten.

Love this motif, but I have to admit to a frisson of fear that tickled my spine when I spotted that inside bead!

Honestly, I could hear the voice in my head say," Oh?? What is THAT? How do I do THAT?"

Can't wait til the blue one arrives!! And I'm excited that you're going to write up the pattern. It might be perfect for some bookmarks I'm making each month for the birthdays of the ladies at our church.

I'm so impressed with how the motif really brings out the amazing colors in the thread. You've created another work of art!
